An alarm in the Clock app lives on one phone. Shared Timer lets you set an alarm for an exact time, share it, and have two iPhones, or a whole household, ring at the same second. Make it repeat daily, on weekdays or weekly.

Two phones. 6:30. Together.
Every alarm in Apple's Clock app belongs to the phone it was set on. There is no way to send one to your partner, your roommate or your kids, so everyone sets their own, nobody is sure the others did, and two "6:30" alarms end up a minute apart. A synchronized alarm means one alarm, set once, ringing on every phone at the same instant.

Pick a timeTap +, choose At a time, and set the moment it should ring, say 6:30 tomorrow morning. Give it a name like "Wake up" and a color.
Make it repeat, if you likeSet Repeat to Daily, Weekdays or Weekly. After it rings it moves itself to the next time, on every phone.
Share the linkTap Share Timer and send it through Messages or any app. Whoever opens it gets the same alarm, and on iOS 26 it rings even if their phone is on silent.
CouplesWake up together, or make sure the one who's travelling is up for the early flight. Each phone rings on its own, so one person stopping theirs doesn't silence the other.
Families and roommates"Leave the house at 7:40." "Screen time ends at 8." One alarm the whole household hears, with the time clearly shown on every phone.
Teams and study groupsStart a session at the same instant from different cities. The alarm is tied to one moment, so time zones take care of themselves.
Moved the flight? Edit the time and every phone's alarm moves with it. Need five more minutes? The creator can add a minute with one tap. Only the person who set the alarm can change or stop it; everyone else sees it and hears it. After it rings, it stays on the list for two weeks with the exact time, so there's never a "did it even go off?" More about timer history.
Yes. In Shared Timer, set a timer by picking an exact time, share the link, and both iPhones ring at that moment. The alarm is tied to one absolute instant, so the two phones ring together to the second, not "about the same time".
Not in their Clock app, but you can share one from Shared Timer. Set the time, send the link, and once they tap it their phone rings along with yours. They can see it and hear it; only you can change or stop it.
If you want it to. Set Repeat to Daily, Weekdays or Weekly and it rings again at the same time on every phone, without anyone re-sharing it.
On iOS 26, yes. The alarm rings through Silent mode and Focus on every phone sharing it, the same way a Clock alarm would. On iOS 17 and 18 it arrives as a notification, which follows the phone's Silent switch and Focus settings.
It still rings at the same instant. An alarm set for 9:00 AM in New York rings at 6:00 AM on a phone in Los Angeles, and each phone shows the time in its own zone.
It's the same shared countdown, set by time of day instead of by duration. The card shows the time it rings and how long is left, and when it rings it stays on the list with the exact time, so you can check later that it went off.
